The bunker-opportunitee lookbook!

Tomorrow and sunday we will be tattooing at lowlands for the humanright tattoo project. Because of this special occasion we made some awesome shirts in collaboration with opportunitee. Opportunitee is a t-shirtlabel that focusses on cool prints made by young talent, go check them out!

Our shirts will be available at the human rights tattoo stand on the lowlands festival…but be quick because the shirts are limited edition.

Enough talk here the sexy pictures of rudolf maartens wearing the beautiful shirts:

Part One Of The Duology

Willem finished up the hate wolf foot, a couple of days ago and I thought it might be time to put it up here.

As you might already know, this is one half of the Love-Hate feet Willem is doing. One down, one to go. Willem went home early today so I took it on myself to steal a sneak peek of the heart for you guys.

I’ll keep you updated as it progresses.

Fly Away

Our friend Florencio made this little fellow today.

It’s a little butterfly, nothing special, I just thought it looked so peaceful and beautiful I’d put it on the blog for the weekend.

Ya’ll go and have a peaceful and beautiful weekend aswell now, you hear me.

Love Hate Or Hate Love

I don’t know what it is with Willem and feet, but he seems to tattoo an awful lot of them if you ask me.
It’s starting to creep me out.
But then again, even if he is a creepy, old, weirdo, bearded foot lover, he still makes them look good.
This foot is one part of a pair of feet, amazing isn’t it? The guy actually has two feet, he’s a freak of nature.

The cool thing about it is that Willem is also going to do his other foot with a love theme, but more on that when we get there.
For now, have fun! Enjoy the weekend, and tell your mom you love her.

Is It Chinese New Year Yet?

Willem made this chinese dragon a while back. It’s a little bit of a cross between a chinese and a japanese dragon.

Bottoms up.

Swallow This

Roger swallowed some feet today.

The tattoo has enough text on it already so I’ll pass on this one.

Let’s Goats Crazy

Justin came back for us to take a picture of his foot, it’s done and healed.

A Word From The Wise

Willem drew a skull for the flash folder, and wanted to share what inspired him to do it.

“The skull is an amazing image, object and symbol.
For me, it contains a mysterious spirituality, symbolising death, rebirth and the element in between life and nothingness. When we are alive te skull holds our brain, which in turn holds our imagination, our consciousness and subconscious dream state. Our Minds are as vast as the universe, yet when we die, that giant infinite mass disappears and we are left with this vessel – the skull. It is so small compared to the quantity of space that it held when we were alive that it almost seems like a magic trick. This contrast of confinement and limitless space, combined with the physical and visual elements of the skulls anatomy, are what inspire my fascination with it.”

This was written by Thomas Hooper, an English tattoo artist living and working in New York. I liked the text so much, that I wanted to share it with our beloved readers. Skulls are awesome!

Back to the shop, got a nice action shot of Roger doing a big chest script.

Willem did some color studies for the aries foot he is working on.

Wich he got to put some color on today.

The picture doesn’t do the piece justice. It looks way better in real life. I wille take some good pictures of it when the whole thing is done.

Talk To The Foot, Cause My Hand Aint Listnin’

Remember Mr. I’ll-Ram-My-Foot-Up-Your…? Well, he was back in town today for some shading.

Still some color to come.

And just a little reminder to all you people who care.

This weekend is the annual Breda Tattoo Convention. We will be there, waiting for you guys. So come by and keep us company.
I don’t know if we have internet access over there. If so, I will be keeping you updated on the go. If not, I will put up a special convention coverage post a.s.a.p. next week.
If you come by and mention the blog and how great it is, I’ll make sure to mention you in it.

Willem got down and dirty doing this here neo-traditional foot tattoo today. Only lining for now, next time there will be more color and a lot more needles and pain, all the good stuff.

You should not mess with this guy or he’ll ram his foot up your……

…..anyway…… I’ll give you a sneak peak at what’s still to come.

Probably some time this week I’ll do a little tour of the shop, and a little bit about the people that work here and ofcourse I’ll try to upload as much as possible of the work they make.

For now, you can enjoy looking at Mr. Peanut himself, Roger Merling Meijer, more on that in the next post.
